Efficient Fitness

Sean Bolton,fitness

Maintaining a regular fitness routine is important to stay healthy and feel your best. Finding time to exercise can be challenging, but with dedication and discipline, it is possible to make fitness a priority.

My fitness routine consists of a mix of strength training, cardio, and rest days. Five days a week, I do a 30-minute workout that combines dumbbell and body-weight exercises. To help me stay on track, I use the Fitbod app (opens in a new tab), which is specifically tailored to my goals and focuses on the muscles that have fully recovered from previous workouts. I workout in the mornings before work and after my morning coffee.

To support my muscle growth, I supplement my diet with a protein shake containing 36 grams of protein and 5 grams of creatine. Protein is essential for muscle repair and growth, and creatine helps to increase muscle mass and strength. I focus on getting protein from my main meals of the day, and drink lots of water.

In addition to strength training, I also include daily walking in my fitness routine. Living in San Francisco, I take advantage of the hilly terrain and walk for an hour each day. Walking is a great form of low-impact cardio that can help improve overall health and reduce stress.

On Saturdays, I engage in a more strenuous activity by hiking for an average of two hours. Hiking is not only a great form of exercise but also an excellent way to connect with nature and explore new trails. It's a time to work the body and sooth the soul.

Finally, I always make sure to include a rest day in my fitness routine. Rest is essential to allow my muscles time to recover and grow. I take a break on Sundays to recharge, relax, and prepare for the week ahead.

In conclusion, my fitness routine is a combination of strength training, cardio, and rest days, which helps me to stay healthy, strong, and motivated. By following a consistent routine, I'm able to achieve my fitness goals while maintaining a busy schedule.
